Map showing the eastern boundary of the Cape Colony on the Eastern Frontier between it and the Xhosa People, as defined by treaties signed in 1836. Garson (1992) attributes W. H. Piers with the drawing of the map.

Unsigned. - Scale 4 miles = 1 inch [1:253,440]. - 1837. - 1 coloured manuscript map in ink on wove paper; 64 x 45 cm. - Orientation true north. - copy lacks Royal Engineers' stamp; B44; O. No. 37; B44; no. 37 also on verso. - Ms note: To explain the Boundary on the Eastern Frontier as defined by the treaty with the Amakosa Kafirs [sic.], dated 5th Decr. 1836 & the treaty with the Fingoes, dated, 10th Decr, 1836.
